⁠Docker Commands for NCache

Following commands can be used to pull images with different editions of NCache:

⁠NCache

• For the latest version of NCache always use
  docker pull alachisoft/ncache:latest

• For a specific version of NCache use version tag like this
  docker pull alachisoft/ncache:5.3.800

⁠NCache Open Source

• For the latest version of NCache Open Source always use
  docker pull alachisoft/ncache:latest-oss

• For a specific version of NCache Open Source use version tag like this
  docker pull alachisoft/ncache:5.3.603

⁠Deploy NCache Using Docker Compose

Use the following commands to deploy a 2-node NCache cluster on a single VM. NCache Management Cetner will be accessisble via port 9801 e.g http://docker-host-ip:9801⁠

KEY="xxxxx" \ 
docker compose -f oci://docker.io/alachisoft/ncache-cluster:latest up -d --wait --scale ncache=2

⁠What is NCache?

NCache is an Open Source In-Memory Distributed Store that is ideal for high transaction server applications because it is extremely fast and linearly scalable. Use NCache to remove performance bottlenecks and scale your applications to extreme transaction processing (XTP). NCache also provides dynamic clustering, intelligent data replication, and live persistence for high availability.

⁠Licenses

• NCache Enterprise is available free for 30 days with all features and no performance or other limitations. When the NCache image is launched for the first time, you need to register the instance using an Evaluation key that you can request from alachisoft.com⁠ page

• NCache Open Source is free to use but you have to activate it with a FREE key, which you can get from alachisoft⁠

• Upon purchase you will receive an annual subscription license key. Entering the annual subscription license key converts the product from evaluation mode to a purchased copy without any re-installation. And, the product works for one or more years (based on how many years subscription you have purchased). And, at the end of this subscription period you must renew the subscription or NCache stops working. However, you’re given ample alerts at renewal time.

• NCache docker images for Linux are based on Ubuntu 24.04⁠ base image. The Ubuntu licensing is same as mentioned on Ubuntu base image⁠.
